Every end of season it happens to me that I start looking forward to the next one. Today has been a wonderful warm day that we spend with friends and it has been adorable. Today I finally found some time to work on new bijoux pieces for internodiciotto. I got some new inspiration and had lot of fun creating. I`ll try to show you some preview of the pieces tomorrow, but I would like to spend more time in taking pictures and styling. Maybe a craft show in a few months would be nice as well!

Being home for christmas has been amazing. I enjoyed the time with the kids and my family during the holidays. Ice-skating on the little lake has been breathtaking and I wish I could have done it more often. Leonie learned it this year so it was just so cute watching her skating over the ice.

For new year's eve a couple of friends arrived from Rome and we had a lovely time, although the weather hasn't be the best. We went a day to Innsbruck, watching ice-hockey and checking out the last christmas markets, where I had far too much hot spiced wine!

A bracelet commission...

hello friends, are you having some wonderful christmas time? I am…it`s all about friends and family, eating, sleeping and relaxing. :D

This bracelet is a commision I got for christmas and I couldn´t show you earlier. I was asked to create a bracelet just made out of bottons for a person who collects them. There were no requests about colors and botton-types so I could do whatever I liked and I have to say I love how it came out. Most of the time the nicest pieces get birth when I don´t have too many ideas about them. This is what I love in creating handmade jewelry just out of feelings. I am thinking to make some more for the Etsy shop as well, I would like to "renew" it a little.

Hi friends, are you countig down the days for christmas like I do?

Some days ago I asked my Etsy-friends Lo scrigno di Lilly what I could do better in my shop to increase the sales. I am not very great in promoting and online PR (twitter and facebook don't see me really often…sorry!) so I asked her to find the DON'Ts in my shop.

One of the most relevant things she said was "you don't have any pictures HOW and WITH WHAT to wear your jewls!" And that was sooo true, so yesterday I took the THIS gray statement necklace and asked (read: obligated) my man to shoot me in the neighborhood!

Today I took a day off work and really enjoyed the day at home. I did some DIY for the apartment and started with some christmas presents. I am working on this little pouches, made to live ih in your giant bag to hold all that stuff that you never find in there aka lipstick, lipbalm, usb-stick, pens, blablabla.

I am making them in like every possible color - I am just soooo crochet addicted right now!!!! I LOVE IT! :D Just sawing always gets me some noise - there will always be something that just will not work imediatelly and I have to try again and again…but it´s worth! ;D Have you already found all your Christmas presents? I still have to get lots of them, so if you have some ideas, they´re welcome!!

One little christmas tree

Now that december officially started, my christmas fever had his start as well. Some of you may know that I come from a town in the alps and we have pretty awesome Christmas traditions back home. Tomorrow there is Santa Klaus day (it´s kinf of befana for the italians) and if you've been a good kid you'll find some cookies outside of the door! Yay!

Also the Christmasmarkets started last weekend and I can just imagine how gorgeous everything will be. The pic below is from the market at home in Bolzano.

Here in Rome there isn't a real Christmas feeling, but I am sure that we will create it ourselves. Yesterday I bought a little tiny tree and started to decorate it with lights and some violet balls. I also made some homedried oranges-rings to put on it! LOVE THEM!

What a crazy day!! Yesterday somebody broke into Marco's car and stole his wallet and some jackets. That sucks, but he is assured for that, so he knew he handn't to pay for the window. Allthough we came home and he put a plastic bag into the hole, because it started raining.

This morning I was on my way to work, passing at the post office for some etsy orders I had to send and I was already quite wet. The guys told me that the two closest underground stations were closed because of flooding and I went down to the next one. As soon as I arrived people told me to hurry up, that water was going into that one too. I already was completely wet and when I arrived at the gate they closed it. Aargh! Obviously there were no buses or taxis. In the meantime Marco had to drive around for the bureaucratic stuff and to get his window repaired, which luckily held the rain off!

The mechanical was outside Rome, so he had to took the Raccordo Anulare…and has been stucked for an hour and a half to drive 550 yard. CRAZY! At the end I took a day off work. How have you been, dear roman follower?

Che giornata assurda!! Ieri hanno rotto il vetro della macchina di Marco e gli hanno rubato il portafoglio e delle giacche. Questo é una rottura, ma fortunatamente, vivendo a Roma, era assicurato e non deve pagare quel danno.
Quando siamo arrivati a casa ha messo una busta di plastica al posto del vetro perché ha iniziato a piovere.
Questa mattina io stavo andando in ufficio, passando dalla posta per spedire degli ordini di Etsy. Gli impiegati mi hanno detto di sbrigarmi, perché avevamo giá chiuso le due fermate della metro piú vicine per allagamento e sono andata di corsa alla prossima. Ero giá con i piedi zuppi quando sono arrivata e sono scesa nella stazione allagata di qualche cm. Arrivo agli sportelli e chiudono anche Re di Roma. Argh! Ovviamente non c'erano né bus né taxi. Nel frattempo Marco era uscito per sbrigare le pratiche burocratiche e aggiustare il vetro della macchina, che fortunatamente ha retto al diluvio. Per arrivare al meccanico ha dovuto prendere il Raccordo Anulare e ci ha passato un ora e mezza per fare 500 metri. FOLLE!!

Alla fine io ho preso una giornata di ferie e ho messo a posto un po´ casa. Voi romane come avete passata questo "casino"?

Last saturday arrived my parents and my aunt from Bolzano and we had an amazing weekend. We went to visit Calcata, a little town one hour from Rome. It's one of that villages where the streets a one meter wide and the houses are one on top of the other.

The last pics are from Palazzo Farnesi a Caprarola. I colors of the floor were such inspiring.

Sabato scorso sono arrivati i miei genitori e mia zia da Bolzano e abbiamo passato un bellissimo weekend. Ieri siamo andati a visitare Calcata, un piccolo paese nell'alto Lazio. E`uno di quei posticini magici con le viuzze larghe 1 metro e le case costruite una sopra l'altra.

Le ultime foto sono del Palazzo Farnesi a Caprarola, dove mi sono ispirata alle maioliche del pavimento!

Probabilmente sono l'unica ragazza al mondo che dopo soli tre mesi di estate vuole che abbia inizio l'autunno! Ma é la stessa storia ogni anni…a settembre sono stufa del caldo e voglio indossare giacchette e non hot pants!

Cosí ho ripreso il mio amato trench di Zara che ho decorata con pizzi e pelle e sono stata piú felice che mai… (ho un pó sudato, ma chi ci fa caso ;-P).

Antelope Canyon - Color Game

Hi there, here are some more pics from our America Trip. After falling in love with the beauty of Bryce we drove down to Antelope Canyon, Arizona. It's an amazing game of light and color and just breathtaking while you go through this slot in the earth. In some points it's that little that you are able to touch both walls of the Canyon.

We took a reservation for 12 pm - that's when sun makes the most impressive shades of red - and before we went to visit the Horseshoe Bend. That place has been very impressive to me and scary also, there are no borderlines between you and the abyss and I am acrophobic. I couldn't go much closed and when Marco did I went scary :D !

Ecco qualche altra foto dell'America. Dopo che ci siamo innamorati della bellezza del Bryce Canyon abbiamo continuato la nostra avventura all'Antelope Cayon, Arizona. E' un posto spettacolare dove la luce che entra dalle fessure crea dei giochi di colori bellissimi. I muri sono stati scavati negli anni dal vento e sembrano delle onde. In alcuni posti è così stretto da toccare entrambi i muri.

Abbiamo prenotato la visita per mezzogiorno - quando lo spettacolo dei colori è più impressionante - e prima siamo andati a vedere Horseshoe Bend.

E' stato molto impressionante per me, perchè non ci sono demarcazioni tra te e l'abisso e soffro abbastanza di vertigini. Non potevo avvicinarmi troppo e quando invece lo ha fatto Marco sono andata in panico subito :D !

hi there…do you remember the movie Now and Then? I haven´t seen it for years and the other day danni from oh hello friend wrote about treehouses so I wanted to see the movie again.

It just demoted me back in those years when boys were getting intresting but still frightened and friendship was the most important thing in life.

I think it is still the most important thing in life.

Over the years I've met some very special friends between home and Florence and since I live in Rome I often miss them very much. There are some wonderful people here too, but I miss having a best friend around me…so although most of them won't read this:

Inspiration: Workspace...

I've always dreamed about a personal workspace - a room dedicated just to my craft work. Since our apartment is really small we don't have an extra room for it. But last week an angle of our living has been transformed to a little lovely crafty space (I'll promise to show you some pics).

Before transforming it I got crazy about workspace inspiration and collected tons of pictures about decoration on the web.

Does anyone of you have a craft corner just for himself?

Ho sempre sognato un angolo di lavoro solo pe me - una stanzetta dedicata ai miei hobby. Ma visto che abitiamo in un appartamento piuttosto piccolino, non ci sono stanze vuote da usare. Ma settimana scorsa abbiamo trasformato una parte del salotto in un angoletto "craft" (prometto che vi mostreró dello foto).

Prima di realizzarlo ho fatto una supericerca sul web e ho collezionato tonnellate di immagini bellissime di come arredarlo.

Qualcuno di voi ha uno spazio solo per i suoi hobby?

3 months ago one of my sisters got married and because it was the first wedding in our family I was too excited to take pictures. Now my oldest sister got married too and this time I didn't forget my camera.

Claudia and Didi stay together since I was a little girl. Now they are parents of the most beautiful kids of the world and I am such a proud aunt.

3 mesi fa si é sposata una delle mie sorelle e visto che é stato il primo matrimonio in famiglia sono stata troppo distratta per fare delle foto. Adesso si é sposata anche la mia sorella piú grande e questa volta non mi sono scordata la macchinetta.

Claudia e Didi stanno insieme da quando io ero una bambina. Ora sono genitori dei bambini piú belli del mondo e sono una zia cosí orgogliosa.

Leonie learned a sweet rhyme for her parents.

My sister has been so gorgeous and we were all so blessed. They all looked just sooo happy.

Leonie ha recitato una poesia che aveva imparato per i suoi genitori.

Mia sorella era bellissima ed eravamo tutti molti contenti. Esprimevano cosí tanta felicitá.

Claudia and Didi were both part of the band of our town. Didi is still their drummer and so they had to do an ability-test.

Claudia e Didi sono stati entrambi nella banda del nostro paese. Didi é tutt'ora il loro batterista e cosí hanno dovuto fare qualche test di abilitá.

Laurin got the drummer passion from his daddy. He is not even 3 years old, but so talented.

Laurin ha preso la passione per la batteria da suo papá. Non ha ancora 3 anni ma é super talentuoso.

That's how the day started… we woke up at 4 am. It's tradition to wake up the bride and of course it was especially amazing doing this with twenty guys from the band. They started playing after making lots of noise and the weds woke up. After we all had breakfast at their house (notice the instruments in front of the door).

Cosí é iniziata la giornata…ci siamo svegliati alle 4 di notte. E´tradizione andare a svegliare la sposa ed é stato particolarmente emozionante farlo con venti persone della banda. Hanno incominciato a suonare molto presto e gli sposini si sono svegliati. Dopo, tutti a colazione da loro (notate gli strumenti appoggiati davanti alla porta).

Another south tyrolian tradition is "steeling the braid" during the party, going to various bars for a drink. It´s the bride's father and husband job to find them and pay their drinks :D!

Un' altra tradizione altoatesina é "rubare la sposa" durante la festa, spostandosi da un bar all'altro a bere un drink. E´compito del padre della sposa e del marito trovarli e saldare i drink! :D

Bryce, we miss you

Dear friends, welcome back! :D There are sooo many things that happened this month that I have to tell you. Our Roadtrip has been the most amazing trip I have ever made, so many impressions, so many emotions.

Our first stop after NY has been Bryce Canyon, Utah. It is one of my personal highlights. This place is so breathtaking in its beauty - all the shapes of colors and that huge view.

There was that little bambi early in the morning, but it was just the beginning of a love story with all the animals we have seen. The American country has really captured my heart and a little advise… save your money (don't spend it for shoes) and travel around the world!

Some of you may have noticed the new blog design, like it? It's still in progress, but it will get more and more "sissi-like".

PS: Marco read the text above…he said it would be fair to tell you that I bought the boots I wanted. ghhh ;-)

4 days are missing till we leave for America and I am getting kind of exited. Nervous for the flight (I am a scarry girlie) and exited fot the trip. I can't wait to be in holiday and that we finally managed to make our dream come true is still soooo WOWWW!

hello friends, this has been a quite busy week and I hadn't time for blogging, sorry. I am a huge fan of Alexa Chungs style and the thing I love most on her is that she don't cares about fashion rules. A while ago I paired a leopard print shirt witha a polka dot skirt and the opinions of friends and people were for "oh sooo cool" to "what the … took you to mix up that stuff`????" it was quite comical to get all that different opinions, so what's your idea about it?

Last sunday three girls from the EtsyItaliaTeam and I finally met to host a little market. It wasn't a successful day for selling - people who took part at the Poolparty didn't care at all about the market and the organization has been quite bad. But though, it has been great that we finally knew each other. Silvia of Lo scrigno di Lilly and I already met the day before for painting the white boxes (right now they are in my living room and Marco thinks to put plants into them). On Sunday morning joined Kate of EarthLab and Rachele of Le stoffe allegre. We had so much fun building our booth and come on…isn't it just amazing? EleonoraEsposito, Miamacreazioni e AngolodiAmy send us their items and we esposed for them.

It has been the first time for me to partecipate as a team and not as single person. That has been a great feeling, because it seems that you know the girls since a long time and not just a few hours.

EtsyItaliaTeam is a wonderful team on Etsy who assembles several Italian etsyshops together. It's a lovely community that helps each other. Check out the blog here!

Domenica scorsa tre ragazze dell'EtsyItaliaTeam ed io ci siamo finalmente incontrate per partecipare ad un piccolo mercato. Non é stata una giornata gloriosa di vendita - le persone erano presenti solamente per la festa e non mostravano alcun interesse per il mercatino e anche l'organizzazione ha lasciato a desiderare. Ció nonostante é stata un giornata molto carina. Silvia di Lo scrigno di Lilly ed io ci siamo conosciute il giorno prima per dipingere le cassette (attualmente nel nostro salotto e Marco ha intenzione di trasformarli in delle portapiante). Domenica mattina ci hanno raggiunto Kate di EarthLab e Rachele di Le stoffe allegre. Ci siamo divertite molto nel costruire il nostro angolo e diciamo…non é stupendo?

EleonoraEsposito, Miamacreazioni ed AngolodiAmy hanno spedito le loro creazioni e noi le abbiamo esposte per loro.

E´stata la prima volta che partecipavo ad un evento come team e non come singola persona ed é stata un' esperienza molto positiva. I always hated swarovsky ...not the sculpture one, but the little strass on hello kitty shirts or phone-pendants. Instead I L.O.V.E. sparkling glitter and sequin. Silver - Gold - Colored - doesn't matter. It's that PrettyPrincess touch they gave the garments. Right now I am working on a embroidered t-shirt which is coming out very shiny too.

A few years ago I bought a golden sequin jacket in a thrift market, but I hadn't the courage yet to wear it. Will I ever found a dreamland where to put that jacket on?

Ho sempre odiato gli swarovsky...non le sculture piccole, ma gli strass sulle magliette hello kitty e sui ciondoli dei cellulari. Invece A.M.O. il glitter e le paillettes. Argento - Oro - Colorato - non importa. Aggiunge quel tocco di principessa sdolcinata ai capi. In questo momento lavoro su una maglietta ricamata e anche quella sta uscendo bella luccicosa.

Qualche anno fa ho comprato una giacca di paillettes d'oro ad un mercato di seconda mano, ma non ho mai avuto il coraggio di mettermela. Troverò mai un mondo meraviglioso dove poterla mettere?

The night I came back from Barcellona I found a little package in my mailbox and tadaaa there it was. Booth Inspiration for Tomorrow's Craft Show

Tomorrow me and some members of the EtsyItaliaTeam are hosting a craft show at the Sheraton Hotel in Rome. There is a convention for PR's including Poolparty and a Market corner. Finally I am going to meet this girls I am organizing the booth with since weeks, all through the web. This have been some of our inspiration for the booth decoration - in the next post you will see what came out! Of course I will take lots of pics and show you the girls creations after!

We will partecipate as EIT, to promote this group and Etsy in general in Italy, where it's still not that known as in America. It´s an amazing way to buy HANDMADE directely from the creator - I got addicted to it!

Barcellona Love Story

Here some other impressions of the city, with family, art and a little junior love story....

Laurin has been an attraction through the streets of the city, as he was walking and playing his fantail like one of the street artists of Barcellona.

There has been a little spanish signorina who got totally affacinated about him and when they had to say goodbye she run after him, huged him and tried even to kiss him!

But you know, boys at that age aren't really intrested in girls, so he got scared and draw aside. Haha, that was the most amazing situation I've seen!!! And the two little lovers have been the attraction of a whole plaza.

Marco and I with the newly wed (Alexa & Michi) who just came back from Mexico.

On the last day we made a trip at the Tibidado and it was amazing. Unfortunatelly the old Attraction Park has been closed, I wish I could have taken a tour through it! :D

Bonjour! Tomorrow I will fly to Barcellona for a short trip with my whole family. It's a christmas gift my parents gave all of us, to enjoy together. It will be my niece' and nephew's first flight and they are soo exited!

On June 18th 2009 Marco kissed me for the first time and we decided to take this day as our anniversary day. So on Saturday we woke up quite early to drive up to the monte Argentario, in Tuscany, where we used to spend lots of great weekends the last summer. We had a wonderful day which ended with a lovely dinner in a restaurant at the beach. Just a few pics to show you that wonderful place…enjoy (or be envious, as you prefer ;-P)!

Il 18 giugno 2009 Marco mi ha baciata per la prima volta ed é rimasta questa la data di anniversario. Perció Sabato scorso ci siamo alzati presto e siamo andati al monte Argentario in Toscana, dove l'anno scorso abbiamo passato dei weekend strepitosi. Abbiamo trascorso una giornata splendida, concludendola con una bella cena di pesce in un ristorantino in spiaggia. Sono piuttosto convinta che Marco mi uccide quando vede questo post. Abbiamo un ENORME - e non credete che esagero dicendo ENORME - problema nel far sopravivere le nostre piante.

DIY with sissi: heart printet shirt

Hello fiends! weekend starts today and i will take a short trip home. We will start in an hour or something and I wanted to share with you this DIY I did a few days ago. It's a really easy one and doesn't cost anything.

Take a white t-shirt, some fabric color, in the shades you like, a brush and most important a rubber.

I cut a piece of rubber (1 cm) in the shape of a heart and used it as stamp. I

i love how it came out and I am pretty sure I will try another print soon.

Prendete una maglietta bianca, colori da tessuto, nei colori che preferite, un pennello e più importante un gomma da cancellare. Ho tagliato un pezzo di gomma (1 cm) e inciso la forma di un cuore.

Adoro il risultato e di sicuro molto presto lo rifarò con un altro disegno.

that first picture capured me a while ago...i love how the girl suites perfectly in between the owls, as she would be part of their family. They are all different but still the same.

I always thought they have a curious but tired look...that's why they are magical to me - it's like they look into your soul...

quella prima immagine mi ha catturata un pò di tempo fa...è bellissimo come la ragazza si mimetizza in mezzo ai gufi, come se fosse parte della loro famiglia. Tutti sono diversi ma allo stesso tempo sono uguali.

Ho sempre pensato che hanno quello sguardo curioso ma triste...per questo sono magici per me - come se guardassero direttamente nella tua anima...
